These are professional services that typically require the work of multiple and multilingual translators, interpreters, database designers, desktop publishers, computer programmers, instructors, and tester/raters.

Localizationthe process of translating a product into different languages or adapting a product for a specific country or region while ensuring that it is culturally appropriate for the target audience. To accomplish this the language service company will pay particular attention to the choice of symbols, colors, currency, and time formats.

Machine Translation (MT)using software to translate text or speech from one language to another.

Translationtransfer of a written document from the source language into the target language(s).
