Walter Yu didn’t set out to become a Chinese social media expert, but that’s what has happened to the court interpreter from Arcadia.

In 2013, Yu wrote an op-ed article for the Alhambra Source, a hyperlocal blog covering Alhambra, suggesting that local agencies reach their Chinese residents via social media outlets like Weibo and WeChat, which approximate to Facebook and Snapchat in the U.S.
