ALC On the Hill
March 20, 2025 | 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM ALC On the Hill is an opportunity to join ALC friends and colleagues, to strengthen the voice of the language industry. Join us on Thursday, March 20, 2025 as the ALC meets with United States Congressional members to discuss issues that impede our work in providing language access for all. The virtual meetings with Congressional Offices provide an opportunity for us all to talk about worker classification issues and other obstacles that hold us back from meeting an ever-growing need for communication. The ALC welcomes allies to join in our efforts. If you are a member of a partner organization, please consider participating. International members are also encouraged to attend to promote and further the language industry. We are looking forward to an impactful time at ALC On The Hill. Pre-event training is not required, but is encouraged for those who want a bit extra preparation. There will be two 1-hour trainings for attendees. This training will cover how to advocate and the key asks for the members of Congress. Congressional Meetings
The Virtual meetings with Capital Hill offices are arranged in advance, and are often with your specific Congressional representatives. The ALC will not be able to arrange meetings based on your addresses for those registering after February 28, 2025.
International participants are encouraged as it brings a broader perspective of the industry and collaboration world-wide.
Individual Schedules
Each attendee will receive an email by March 13, 2025, with their individual schedule for the Capitol Hill meetings. Please hold the entire day of March 20, 2025 from 11 am - 6 pm EST, at this time to ensure time in your schedule.
The ALC will contact you prior to scheduling any meeting outside of the 11 am - 6 pm EST window on March 20, 2025.
