Presented By:

Robin Horwitz, Managing Partner at Interpreter-Now

In 2009, Robin co-founded Convo Communications and bootstrapped his way to a $5 million annual revenue within four years.  Convo is currently the third-largest Video Relay Services company in the U.S.  Robin credits the company’s success to investing in the quality of interpreters, which appealed to a consumer market long subjected to sub-par interpreting services.  Filling this gap allowed Convo to experience incredible initial growth.   In all, Robin brings to the table 17 years of experience in the interpreting industry, where his bottom line – quality of communication – has not changed. Through Interpreter-Now, he aspires to bring “quality” in communication to the next level.

Jewel Jauregui, Managing Partner at Interpeter-Now

Jewel Jauregui was born to Deaf parents and grew up in a bi-lingual, bi-cultural home. In 2009 she assumed the role of Executive Interpreter at Convo, a video relay service company, and helped open the company’s first four call centers. She developed the company’s training, policies, and procedures and cultivated its culture, resulting in a national reputation known as “Convo Smooth” – named after the communication experience Convo provided its interpreters. With 13+ years of experience as a professional interpreter, Jewel remains committed to preparing interpreters with the training, tools, and understanding needed to provide consumers with an excellent communication experience.
