President Marla Schulman

As President of Schreiber Translations, Inc. (STI), one of the leading language services companies in the U.S., Marla Schulman has over 10 years of management experience in the translation industry. An active Charter Member of the Association of Language Companies since 2003, and an active ALC Leadership Committee member since 2005, she served as the association's Conference Chair in 2005. In addition to her work in the language industry, she is an active board member of the Montgomery County Multiple Sclerosis Center and an active member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

Vice President Randall Morgan
Ariot International

Randy Morgan is President of Ariot International, a language services consulting firm. From 1989-2005, he was Chairman and CEO of ASET International Services Corporation, a firm he co-founded to provide translation, localization, multimedia, and interpretation services and equipment worldwide. Randy speaks Russian, French, and Spanish. In the 1980s, he was Editor-in-Chief of USSR Technology Update. Randy serves on the boards of the Association for Safe International Road Travel and the Pencoyd Foundation, a small foundation providing translation grants. Among other contributions, Randy spearheads the ALC's annual membership industry survey and helps steer the Association's strategic planning process.

Secretary Sandy Dupleich
Dynamic Language Center

As a vice president of Dynamic Language Center, Sandy Dupleich has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in the language service industry. Dynamic is a Seattle-based language solutions company specializing in multilingual translation, desktop publishing, and interpreting services. Dupleich's current areas of focus within the business include sales and marketing as well as overseeing the company's operations. She was recently nominated as Director of Initiatives for the Northwest Minority Business Council's MBEIC (Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee). She also serves on the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center's Breakfast Committee to support their annual fundraising event.

Treasurer Monique-Paule Tubb
Advanced Communication and Translation, Inc.

Monique-Paule Tubb, President of Advanced Communication and Translation, Inc. (ACT), based in Bethesda, MD, was born in France, graduated with a Master's in translation from the University of Paris, and began her career as a professional medical translator and interpreter, before becoming a project director and finally a business owner. Over the past eleven years, she developed ACT into a leading provider in the medical and legal field, offering, among many other services, round the clock service to local hospitals and law enforcement. She has two grown children: A son, who is a doctor in Philadelphia, and a daughter who is ACT's Vice President. Monique-Paule likes to hike, ski, sea-kayak and discover other countries and cultures.

Director Craig Buckstein
Geneva Worldwide, Inc.

Geneva Worldwide is a full service interpreting and translation company, providing services to government and private industry. Founded in 1903, Geneva is one of the oldest agencies in NY and has specialized its language solutions for the past 30 years. Craig received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and later received an MBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch. He has over eight years experience within the industry and currently serves on the board of directors, membership committee and as the 2007 conference chair.

Director Steve Kahaner

Steven Kahaner, the Executive Director of Juriscribe®, is an attorney with over 10 years of experience working in the corporate and international departments of several major New York law firms. Mr. Kahaner has served as an officer and board member of various non-profit and trade associations, and is a member of several bar associations.  In the academic realm, Mr. Kahaner has taught legal translation at a major university, published numerous articles analyzing the laws of various Latin American countries and Spain, and presented seminars on the issue of legal translation to bar associations and translator associations in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.

Director Gordon McDermott

Gordon McDermott is a partner and President of Auracom International, Inc., a leading provider of multilingual communication services for the global marketplace. He currently serves on the boards of several nonprofit ventures. He brings to the world of multilingual communication, the experience and knowledge obtainable only through the combination of a wide-ranging career in international business, and the development of a small business from the ground up. Gordon has headed commerce and trade initiatives for major global shipping companies around the globe, including North America, Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East.  He has lived in Canada, Japan, and the United States, and is fluent in English and highly proficient in French. As a founding member of the ALC, Gordon has been active in a number of key areas leading to the association's growth.

Director Martin Roberts
Linguistic Systems, Inc

Martin Roberts was a co-founder of Linguistic Systems, Inc. (LSI) in 1967 and is currently the President and sole owner. LSI is a full service translation and interpreting company in Cambridge, MA with thousands of clients throughout the US. It recently won acclaim for its Spanish translation of the 4.4 million word US Pharmacopeia USP-NF drug handbook, the first successful translation of this cornerstone of the American pharmaceutical industry. Martin has an engineering background with a BSME degree from CCNY in New York and an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

Georgia Roeming
The Geo Group

Georgia Roeming is an Owner/Partner of The Geo Group Corporation headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. She has a BA in Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She began a sales career in the broadcast and the corporate video production industries. Georgia was the President of the Madison Advertising Federation receiving its highest honor, the Silver Medal Award in 2002. The Geo Group Corporation, founded 15 years ago, is a full-service foreign language translation agency and a founding member of the ALC. In July 2006 Georgia was elected to a two-year term as the association President.

Past President Suzanne Robinson
Liaison Multilingual Services, Inc.

     Third

Suzanne Robinson is Founder/President of Liaison Multilingual Services, Inc., Denver, CO. She lived formerly in Europe and had been a translation client for a decade as International Marketing Director for several Colorado corporations. With respect for good business practices and assistance from several European Associations of Translation Companies, she chaired the initial development of the ATA/TCD Quality Standards. As a founding member of ALC, she acted as its liaison with several international organizations and task forces creating industry standards. She has also worked toward quality guidelines with ASTM. She has served the ALC as Vice President and currently is the President.
