Marla Schulman has over 10 years of
management experience in the translation industry. An active Charter Member of
the Association of Language Companies since 2003, and an active ALC Leadership
Committee member since 2005, she served as the association's Conference Chair
in 2005. In addition to her work in the language industry, she is an active
board member of the Montgomery County Multiple Sclerosis Center and an active
member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

Dupleich
Dynamic Language
Center

As a vice president of Dynamic Language Center,
Sandy
Dupleich has accumulated more than 20 years of experience
in the language service industry. Dynamic is a Seattle-based language
solutions company specializing in multilingual translation, desktop publishing,
and interpreting services. Dupleich's current areas of
focus within the business include sales and marketing as well as
overseeing the company's operations. She was recently nominated as Director of
Initiatives for the Northwest Minority Business Council's MBEIC (Minority
Business Enterprise Input Committee). She also serves on the King County Sexual
Assault Resource Center's Breakfast Committee to support their annual
fundraising event.
Secretary Craig Buckstein
Geneva Worldwide, Inc.

Geneva Worldwide is a full-service interpreting and
translation company, providing services to government and private industry.
Founded in 1903, Geneva
is one of the oldest agencies in NY and has specialized its language solutions
for the past 30 years. Craig received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and later received an
MBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch. He has more than eight years
experience within the industry and currently serves on the board of directors,
membership committee and as the 2007 conference chair.
Treasurer David Smith
LinguaLinx Language Solutions, Inc.

David Smith began his venture into the realm of multilingual
communications almost 20 years ago, driven by his love for languages. Fluent in
Russian and French, Smith has worked extensively in both the United States and Europe.
Smith parlayed his passion for linguistics into establishing what has become
LinguaLinx Language Solutions, Inc.
After receiving his BA in Russian Language from the
University at Albany, State University of New
York in 1990, Smith went on to own and operate DMS Language Services in Albany while completing
his M.A. in Russian Language & Literature (1994), as well as an MA in
Translation.
Smith has worked extensively as a Russian interpreter,
living in Moscow
serving as Resident Director of the State University of New York's Moscow
Exchange Program. He also held a faculty position in the Department of Foreign
Languages at Moscow
State University.
In 1997, Smith began working in sales for TransPerfect and transitioned into
the position of Director of Business Development for Translations.com. Prior to
founding LinguaLinx, Smith worked for Merrill/NTEXT in New York, NY.
In 2002 he launched LinguaLinx Language Solutions, Inc.
Director Steve Iverson
Iverson Language Associates

Steven P. Iverson has an MA from Marquette University
in French Literature. He has taught French at all levels. In 1986, he founded
Iverson Language Associates, Inc., in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin's largest language
bureau. The company offers strategic solutions for managing document
translation, including translation in all languages. Steve is a member of the
Society for Technical Communication, International Association of Business
Communicators, American Society for Training and Development, Milwaukee World
Trade Association, past Administrator of the Translation Company Division of
the American Translators Association, and a founding member of the Association
of Language Companies.
Director Elisabete Miranda
Translation Plus, Inc.

Elisabete Miranda, owner of Translation Plus,
Inc., a 16-year-old company and charter member of ALC, has been active in the association
from its start. For two years she chaired of the Public Relations Committee, as
co-chair for another two years and has been a member of the membership committee
since its inception.
Previous to Translation Plus, her business
experience comes from more than nine years with a prominent Brazilian bank, where
she held several management positions such as treasurer and HR manager. During
that time she also served as chairwoman for CIPA and was elected president of
the Employee's Association for three consecutive terms. For six years was the
Regional Manager for a chain of restaurants. She served two consecutive terms
as Executive Director for a local Commerce and Trade Association.
Elisabete attended business school in Brazil and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business
Administration with a double major in International Business and Management
from Montclair State University.
Director Camilo Muñoz

Camilo Muñoz is the founder and
CEO of Translation Source, a leading provider of translation services in the United States.
Prior to Translation Source, Camilo worked as an investment banker for
Citibank and Lehman Brothers in New
York. He was also co-founder of Abiertamente.com, an
e-learning distributor of American college-level coursework in Latin America. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School,
an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute (University
of Pennsylvania) and a BS in
Industrial Engineering from the University
of Florida. Mr. Muñoz
speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
Director Kristin Quinlan
Certified Languages International

Kristin Quinlan
was named chief executive officer of Certified Languages International in 2006
after having been the Sales and Marketing Manager for the six previous years.
She has been responsible for substantial growth with CLI each year and is
instrumental in educating its clients in the most efficient, and cost effective
manner of supplying the LEP population with quality interpreting services.
Kristin has 22 years of sales and sales management experience.
She worked in for Arrow Electronics, the world's largest distributor of
electronic components and computer products, and Pioneer Electronics, a
Tokyo-based leader in consumer audio and video products. She served
on the ALC's Leadership Committee as the chair of the Marketing
Committee.
Kristin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English
Literature from the University
of Oregon.
Director Jon Sommers
CyraCom

Jon Sommers has
been involved in most facets of business operations throughout his career. Jon
joined CyraCom in 2003 and is responsible for the areas of interpreter
services, product management, enterprise systems, client services, document
translation, testing & training, and facilities.
Jon came to CyraCom with more than 20 years of experience in
various areas of operations within service industries. Throughout his career,
Jon led initiatives to advance or stabilize operational objectives for
organizations. Jon has a successful track record in cost containment, process
development, and production efficiencies. Jon was chair of the Norms and
Best Practices Committee for the ALC from 2004 to 2008.
In addition to his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State
University, Jon also received his MBA from this university. Jon is also very
active in his community, supporting various activities and youth organizations
with his time and leadership.
